Stadia: YouTube streaming arrives

The features available to subscribers to Google Stadia.

Here we are talking about a really long-awaited feature, one of the workhorses that Google itself had made a big deal of during the early stages of the service’s unveiling last year, namely the ability to stream content directly to one’s YouTube channel.

Confirming its’arrival was a Google representative at the microphones of The Verge. The feature’s arrival is expected as early as the next few hours on the cloud gaming platform, but it is likely that some lucky users have already had access to it, as it is a server-side feature implemented by the company’s.

To stream to the channel, you will need to start the Stadia menu, click on “Stream directly to YouTube“enter the title of the live broadcast and set some options including those related to privacy and audio’audio.

9to5google has already carried out tests, and according to early information it appears that streaming has some limitations, such as the’inability to access the chat, visible only by resorting to the second device. Also present will be the ’Crowd Choice option, a system that allows for the creation of “polls” to allow viewers to decide what happens in a game during a live stream. This feature comes just a short time after Family Sharing, a feature that enables content sharing with other accounts.

As a reminder, those who pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 by December 9 for the Stadia cloud gaming platform will also receive free (and at no additional cost), the Stadia Premiere Edition, a package that includes the Stadia Controller and the flash drive Chromecast Ultra, useful even outside the gaming sphere.
